Hi Cali,

thank you for your question 🙂

The plan will work well. I recommend using the Saute button method or you can reheat using the pot-in-pot method. Depending how much meat you want to reheat, roughly 5 minutes at high pressure and 10 minutes of natural release will work fine.

It will be very similar as the keep warm temperature is roughly the same. You can leave the taco meat on keep warm mode safely for 2 hours as well.

Take care & have a great wedding reception!

After much research, I discovered that the cooked taco meat can only safely be in the slow cooker on warm for 2-3 hours. This presents a food safety issue, which is how I ended up on your site. My plan is to use the IP on Steam or Saute method with adding some chicken stock in the bottom, then the taco meat and cook covered for a few minutes, then add it to the slow cooker on warm for serving. Do you think this plan would work well, or should I keep the meat on WARM in the IP? And if so, how long can I safely leave the taco meat on warm in the IP? I appreciate any helpful feedback…

Hi Sarah,

Once the Instant Pot has reached high pressure (It should beep and the countdown timer will start), turn off the Instant Pot immediately, then proceed to do a quick release or natural release as indicated in the recipe.

Take care & stay safe

Please answer this question regarding “0” minute setting. I hate mushy vegetables.

Bonnie I have the same pot as yours and I’m having the same issues. We need recipes with directions for THIS pot as it doesn’t work the same as recipes for older models, especially if you are new to instant pot cooking.

I got a new Instant Pot DUO EVO PLUS. The problem I am having is basically recipes. It cooks differently than once I’ve been trying to watch on YouTube I have been trying to make yogurt twice now and I really had to try to research and research and research how to use that yogurt but I’ve never made yogurt in an instant pot and every time I put it on pressurize the milk burns on the bottom. So I poured all the milk out in another bowl and cleaned up the bottom then poured the milk way back into the instant pot added the yogurt did all the things I’m supposed to do and now it’s on ferment I think we need recipes in more directions on how to use this instant pot I can’t find any information user manuals aren’t the same as what I’m looking for

Yes, still hot even after I let it slow release for 10 min. It was my first time using this new pot. Perhaps it wasn’t set up correctly? (I did the initial test and it was fine).

Followed directions exactly. I want to cry. 🙁
