Hi Shelia,

thank you for your question 🙂

There is currently no electric pressure cooker that is capable of pressure canning yet.

Please take care & stay safe

Hi Lynnd,

I don’t have the Cuisinart electric pressure cooker beside me, but if it is the same as the Instant Pot, the marks are 1L and 1 US QT.

Until a rice cooker, the measurement marks in the pressure cooker are not something to rely upon.

Most of our recipes (recipes here) only require 1 – 2 cups of liquid, so it is best to do the measurement in a standard measuring cup and a kitchen scale.

Have a wonderful week

For example, what is the difference between measuring liquid using an 8 oz cup as opposed to using the measurements inside the pot for liquids? Similar to my rice cooker, I notice that in my pressure cooker the cup-marks are not the same capacity as an 8 oz measuring cup. When is it appropriate to use a standard measuring cup and when is it appropriate to rely upon the marks inside the pot? Second, if using the cup marks inside the pot, what is the proper order of use: Add the dry ingredients, such as beans, and pour the water on top up to the specified fill line — or measure the water beforehand and add the dry ingredients last? Thank you, I appreciate any help. 🙂

I also plan to cook briskets and round steaks and rump roasts. Quite the variety if you could address pressure and time per pound on each cut. Stacy

Hi Stacy,

May I know what kind of cut are you using and how thick is the piece of meat.

Please take care

Hi Ruth,

Late reply! If you can fit the 2 corned beef side by side, the cooking time will stay the same.

Please take care
