I used the apples I had on hand (various kinds), 1/2 c. water, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and pressure for 4 min and let it naturally release. I stirred it (I like it chunky) and added 2 t. of my own honey. It is perfect! Thank you for the post. Love my Instant Pot.5 stars

I am moving some of my stock items from stove top to IP. These are items that of course will be faster but also with consistently great results. Used Gala for this applesuce IP debut.Used
1 T of concentrated cherry juice (did not have apple juice) and 3 T water and 2 cinnamon sticks.
5 min and natural release and a spin with immersion blender – Perfect. Instant Pot Duo Nova 6 quart

I would love to add rhubarb to this recipe. Any suggestions on how I might need to tweak the recipe?

Thank you for being so thorough with all your instructions no matter which recipe I have tried. I made the applesauce today and it turned out delicious. I also used the hand blender as I did not peel the apples. One other thing I did do was pass it through a fine mesh strainer because my grandson finds any little speck of peel that is left. I do not add anything to the applesauce and everyone loves it. Thanks again.

I peeled, and he cut them with a safety knife. We added cinnamon and nutmeg. 5 minutes high pressure, natural release while we built a train track, and we had a delicious snack. He can’t wait to take home some of the extra for his family. So easy!

And, thanks for being so thorough when you cover the varying topics i.e. applesauce tips … very much appreciated by this senior who loves to cook … don’t we all enjoy great food without taxing our leisure time?
