I could never cook perfect rice on the stove top. Now I don’t have to worry anymore. I use the Trader Joe’s brown Basmati rice and use 1.5 cups of water/chicken stock. It comes out perfect every time. Cooking time and NPR as directed in the recipe.

I loved how the Basmati brown rice turned out. I added a cup and a quarter and it was perfect at the 18 minute high pressure and 10 min NR. Thank you so much for your guidance in making rice in the instant pot.

Brown basmati rice is my go to rice – I use the pot in pot method and adjusted my cooking time a little longer since it was brown rice.

I’m honored to offer a first comment on this recipe.👊
If I ever win the lottery (within the next 14 million years, thus after WEBB), I will gladly buy organic rice (from Planet Earth). Unfortunately, by that time, organic rice will probably be sold by the grain, not by weight anymore (with arsenic on the side, of course). I guess it’s time for many of us to stop dreaming, and just feed the wealthy. 😉 😷
