I make a paste of Cream of Tartar and white vinegar, let it sit overnight…brand-spanking new clean with little effort…It works on ALL pans…also soak ring overnight in water, baking soda and white vinegar and then air dry…helps, but also use different rings for various recipes…thank you for your wonderful posts…

The silicone sealing ring can be affected by regular washing with a dishwasher.

We didn’t test this theory, but just by rinsing the ring and lid under cold water should extend the lifespan of the silicone ring.

What part of the cover might be affected by putting it in the top rack of the dishwasher? FYI-Got my IP for Christmas 2018. Have used it at least 1 time per week and put the stainless inner pot on the bottom rack of the DW, the cover with the “small parts” removed and the
silicone cover seal in the top rack. I hand wash and rinse and air dry the cover small parts. I have a different color “sweet” seal.So with 50+ (probably closer to 70 “savory seal” uses] still using the original silicone seal and all the the other pieces IP came with.
