Hi Sharon,

It will depend on the recipe. Usually you will have to increase the cooking time by 1 – 3 minutes.

Take care
Jacky

I also have another instapot that does not have the yogurt setting either.Help please!

Hi Ellen,

thank you for your question.

Depending on the content in the Instant Pot, it will take roughly 5 – 15 minutes to get up to pressure. (Think of this as preheating)

Please take care

Hi Ellen,

thank you for your question.

This can be frustrating as the cooking timer goes up and down by minute and not second.

If the cooking timer indicated 4:00, it means it was set to cook for 4 hours.

Please take care
Jacky

I have a Duo Nova model. I ran the test with the water. It went fine. Then I started an approved Instant Pot recipe that was supposed to take 4 minutes to pressure-cook. I set it up correctly. The time it took for the pressure to build was just as expected. Then it switched to the count down. But instead of cooking for 4 minutes, it cooked for nearly 45 minutes. It went from 4:00, to 3:59, to 3:58 and so on at a glacial pace. It did not cook in real time. Please advise. Thanks.

I don’t understand it. I follow the instructions carefully, everything looks like it’s working the way it should, but when it switches to the timer function, it just doesn’t make any sense. I have the Duo Nova model.

Hi Teresa,

Sorry for the late reply as we have been recovering from a recent car accident.

Thank you for your question. You can cook unsoaked dried beans with the Instant Pot

Happy New Year 🙂
