While I understand the concept, I’d love to see more than the six or so recipes offered in this article. Often times when I want to do pot in pot a recipe has different pressure times. Any advice? Thank you so very much for “Amy + Jacky” !!!

Hi Barbara,

thank you for your kind words and question 🙂

Due to indirect heating, it will take a few minutes longer than usual with the pot-in-pot method.

Take care & have fun cooking

Thanks for your dedicated work on this topic. Much appreciated. I’ve a question about PIP. I bought the 3-qt insert to use in the 6-qt Duo. Worked great for quinoa. When I used it to cook fresh cauliflower and broccoli, the veggies just refused to get soft. I ended up adding pouring them into the 6-qt insert and using saute to boil them. Please tell me what I might be doing wrong. Thanks!

Hi Judy,

Thank you for your question.

The 3-quart inner pot will not work directly on the heating element. You will have to place the 3-quart inner pot inside the 8-quart inner pot.

Take care & stay safe

Hi Wendy,

thank you for your question 🙂

Cooking with the lid on will work better.

Thank you for the detailed introduction! When making asian style shitake chicken soup, will you have the lid (of the inner pot) on? or it’s okay to cook without the lid on? Does it make any difference? Thank you so much!
