I used the stackable steamer and cooked both at the same time, one in each steamer. They will go well with the pork ribs and shrimp from my mom. But they are also delicious on their own.5 stars

I cannot wait to try this recipe, but I’d like to ask you a few questions 1st. I’d love to use some of my saffron threads. Do you think they would work as well as turmeric? Could you suggest ~ how many? Also, I noticed in other places these ingredients were also used. How do think they would do in this recipe? : 1/4 cup raisins; Cubanelles (pimento) pepper; 1/4 cup sliced celery, 3 sprigs thyme, 1 c. finely diced carrots?5 stars

I was hesitant to try one in the IP since the stovetop version is a family favourite. Wow. This version has so much flavour and it has now become our new family favourite.5 stars

I doubled the recipe (chickened-out to triple it) and it worked great. I did the 4 minute cook time as you suggested and was a little late getting to the 10 minute release so I got to it at 13 minutes. It started to get little brown at the bottom but it still turned out good. I recommend to watch the release time!

Hi Jeanine,

thank you for your kind words 🙂

You can double or triple the recipe in the 6-quarts as long as the ingredients are measured carefully. I recommend reducing the cooking time by a minute as the get-up to pressure time will be much longer.

Take care & have fun cooking

However, I need a larger batch for a larger group of people. Do you recommend doubling or tripling recipe or is it better to just make multiple smaller batches?

Thanks in advance!5 stars
