Omg best sushi rice I’ve ever made. Turned out perfectly. I used Nishiki sushi rice which requires 1.3 cups water per cup of rice but otherwise made it exactly as described and it was phenomenal. Served miso black cod and soy bok choy over it and it was perfect.

Thank you for this recipe. I buy short grain rice that you use to make rice pudding, and it turns out great each time. I have your beef stew in the IP and then I will cook up a pot of rice in the IP. Your recipes are my go to very often, and I appreciate the development you put into each one.

Kids love the crab salad and spicy crab salad Onigiris from H-Mart. So I try to make it myself at home. After reading a ton of recipes, this is what I did. Cooked the rice 0 minutes plus full release. It came out perfect! The crab salad is just shredded (and chopped) crab sticks with kewpie Mayo (the spicy version has sriracha added). Once the rice is cooled, I use a mold to form the onigiris and wrap them in the seaweed wrappers.

(1 cup of uncooked sushi rice will make about 4 onigiris)
