I used the 185 rice/375 water amounts. I used Minnesota Wild Rice3 – the best in the world! I rinsed and drained the rice well, but I had some leftover liquid after cooking. I just drained it and the rice is perfect! I’ll be using it in soup, so the texture will work just fine. Thank you for another wonderful IP recipe.

I really like this recipe but as written it only makes 2 cups. How would I double, triple or even quadruple this recipe. I batch cook and then freeze in individual 1 cup freezer containers. Thank you, Dorothy

In an 8 qt I followed the recipe. There was some excess water to drain afterwards & they were just on the verge of being underdone, but I did get the chewy experience without being overcooked & mushy or broken open. Nice. The salt & oil were a nice touch. Thank you.

Ive had an Instant Pot Ultra for 5 years and recently bought the Instant Pot Pro-Crisp plus air fryer——this model does it all! The best. Now for the wild Rice. I went by the recipe exactly and had so much water left—-had to throw it out. No amount of leaving it in the pot longer would resolve——rice was fully cooked. Repeated with 1/4 less water. Still too much. So what worked for me was a 1:1 ratio. Equal amounts water and rice. Problem may be the type of rice I used. A wild rice blend of white, brown, red, and wild rices. Rice Select Royal Blend. Made with 1:1 ratio rice was delicious!

Ahhhhmmmaaaazzzzing! I tried your recipe exactly as written in hopes of finding a recipe that I could cook big batches to freeze. This is the one! I absolutely hate making rice because it never turns out the way we like ours. And wild rice is an even bigger challenge. The texture on this one is perfect…so I’ll be making a big batch to freeze for things like wild rice cranberry chicken and wild rice soup. Thank you!
