Hi Garnett,

thank you for your kind words and question 🙂

Yes, you can put more in as long as they are the same size.

On the beets, I noticed that there was an amount and circumference. Could I put more in as long as they were the same size? And would the time be the same?

Your adjustment charts always provide a solid base from which to calculate. You two take a true scientific approach, which is unparalleled for online help.

I also have been cooking the beet stems and leaves with garlic, since someone at a farmer’s market taught me that trick, and not to throw them away, almost twenty years ago, which is a fantastic! Everyone, try that out. Black pepper either during or after cooking also adds flavor.

Now, if you two geniuses have a way to help cook Orange or Pineapple Chicken in the Instant Pot without burning or over-cooking the side of the chicken which touches the base, the whole time, I would have to send you an award. I think the Instant Pot would need a stirring tool, much like a bread maker machine, but longer, for something like that. Keep up the good work!5 stars

Last year I cooked 30 lbs. of beets using your technique of measuring and cooking. After cooling on a clean cloth, and using a table top fan to cool, I cut most of the beets into sections and left the smaller ones whole. I put them into meal size storage bags for the freezer. The beets were perfect when I used them during the winter and spring. We ran out of beets sometime in June. This year, I have purchased 40 lbs. and hope they will last until we don’t need them anymore.
Thank you for your great instructions and for your experimenting!! I will never ever cook beets any other way. 🙂
Thank you so much.

They came out with a slight decrease in cooking time. So glad to have this recipe.5 stars
