Thank you! I’ll try it next time. I made the Spare Ribs and Rice recipe but didn’t have the bean sauce. Now it’s in my pantry. Rib Tips sound delicious!

Hi Amy and Jackie! I am getting these trimmings out. of the freezer after 9 months. I would still like to know what you did with your trimmings in “the next recipe.” In the meantime, I think I’ll just cook the trimmings like we did the ribs.

Looks like 12 of your other fans would like the same answer! Hope you see this. I love your recipes and only go anywhere else if you don’t have what I’m looking for. (You almost always do! ). Thank you! Sheri5 stars

Hello Timothy,
Thanks for taking the time to write to us. I’m grateful you’ve decided to learn how to use the Instant Pot and cook! I’m sure it hasn’t been easy for you.
There’s a learning curve in the beginning with cooking or using an Instant Pot, but it’ll get easier as you try different things! Take your time and take it one step at a time. You got this!! 🙂
Depending on what you like to eat, you can try some simple recipes like: Chicken Soup, Chicken Congee, BBQ Chicken, Instant Pot Spaghetti, or Garlic Buttered Cabbage.
Feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions.

Stay well & Take care Timothy!
Amy

My wife (passed away March 13, 2022) had an Instant Pot that she did ribs in, and when she cooked i stayed out of the kitchen. Like i said, to me, this is very intimidating. The only cooking that i have done using the stove is oatmeal and eggs. It may take me awhile to get up the courage to try this. You and your husband have done an excellent job teaching every aspect of how preparing and cooking spare ribs is done. Thank you.

We cooked this in our Instant Pot Mini for 25mins + 15 min natural release, then basted and broiled it with a coating of Sweet Baby Ray BBQ sauce. So tender and succulent – a total winner of a recipe.
We had it with a Jamie Oliver 5-ingredient baked Italian rice dish. We are already planning when to make it again! These ribs are the best.5 stars

It turned out great but wasn’t really fall off the bone with 25 minutes of pressure. I think I might make it 30-minutes next time.

After pressure cooking it, I put some Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce on it and put it under the broiler. Actually ended up using upside down forks to hold it off the baking sheet since I only had a small broiler tray and this was too big for it. Wife said her Dad used to do that when he broiled stuff, so she suggested I give it a try. Worked great! After broiling one side with the door of the oven open slightly so it was cooked with conductive heat instead of convective heat, I flipped it over carefully and broiled the other side too. It turned out looking and tasting really great. And of course I knocked of a bit of the caramelized BBQ coating off trying to flip it back to its best side.

AND, we even had left overs!!5 stars

I always make your baby back ribs and love them. While these are marinating I read all the comments below. Can you tell us what you made with the trimmings? You said “use them in our next recipe” but I don’t see any reference. In the meantime, the extra pork is in the freezer. Thanks bunches. I love all your recipes!5 stars
