Tried this recipe for dinner last night. Soup was very flavourful!

Spices: I used 1 cinnamon stick, added 3 star anise and used a few extra pcs of cloves + the fennel & coriander seeds.

Was easy to make with the instant pot! Will
make again.

Since I’m a slowpoke, this took about 2 hours. My family loved it even without any garnishes or toppings except for Thai basil (it was too late to get the rest of the garnishes/toppings). There were very few dishes to wash, which is another plus! My husband who says pho ga is usually “meh” at our local restaurants finished all of the soup which he usually doesn’t do. Will definitely be doing this again (although maybe in my 8QT since my 6 QT hit the max line).

I love pho ga and have been looking for an easy straightforward recipe. This is it! Absolutely delicious. I tried both the wider noodle and fine noodle and found the finer noodle easier to eat. Realized I was out of whole coriander and cloves and used ground so it could not be strained, but it was still wonderful. Thank you for another fabulous instapot recicipe!

This is the recipe I’ve been searching for! Thank you! Your directions and photos of the steps make this recipe so easy to execute! I read your comments about leaving the star anise out. I opted to try it with half of 1 star anise and I am happy with the flavors:)
* if anyone is contemplating on trying this, do it!! You will not be disappointed!
