Since our fresh corn was delicious raw, we opted for 1 minute at high pressure. Perfect! Never have to heat up the kitchen or watch a boiling pot again!

Excellent recipe(all of yours are) I have an instant pot with the slow cooker function I don’t know the exact model it’s a very simplistic with only four modes.. thanks for all your wonderful recipes and all your hard work!

I am a farm kid on both sides of my family. For as long as I can remember, my grandparents would plant ACRES of sweet corn every year using the tractor and 16 row planter. I started as a shucker as a kid and grew up to the kitchen. We would blanche the corn…cut off the kernels and freeze them. I am talking 300 quarts a season. I have blanched, grilled and microwaved ear corn. I wanted the blanch results without a big boiling pot of water heating up my kitchen. I set my I.P. to 2 minutes with a quick release for 12 ears and took to my neighborhood 4th of July bbq last year. They were gone in 5 minutes. Perfect cook. I think the steam keeps the corn flavor instead of losing it to a pot of water. Will do this again this year. Great results with very little effort. Thank you.
