My wife does not eat beef very often and she ate this over the chicken, as well as for leftovers. I left out the cinnamon and cayenne. Also, I mistakenly added all the BBQ sauce ingredients before cooking and it turned out just fine.

I’m sure there is a reason though they recommend adding the ketchup, mustard and brown sugar after cooking. The sauce is crack … using it for all my grilling!!5 stars

It’s always delicious! Thanks so much for the awesome recipe! 3-part question … If I wanted to let the brisket marinade longer, can I leave it to marinade for 2 or 3 nights, of is only 1 night appropriate? If I make this ahead of time, how do you recommend I store it, and how to you recommend I reheat it? Thanks so much!5 stars

I’m not sure how many pounds the brisket was, because the local ranch I get it from, unfortunately, doesn’t put weights on the packages! I guessed it was about 4#, so I cooked it for 90 minutes. Other than that, I followed the recipe. Tender, well seasoned, and the BBQ sauce was perfection.5 stars

When I went to slice the brisket it basically shredded. I tried turning it and cutting in the other direction, no luck. Does this indicate it was over cooked. It was about 1 3/4 lb from a very good butcher shop. Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks

I’m not a very good cook and I usually manage to make them happy when I make your recipes 😁
Something I have difficulty with when I use the instant pot is cooking meat. I tried the brisket today, used 2 pounds of beef brisket from the butcher shop, cooked as indicated in the recipe. When I took the meat out of the IP the meat thermometer indicated 98° and the thermometer indicates beef should be ~70°.
From what I understand, I should not open up the IP while in use so how do I know when it’s cooked. Maybe me IP is warmer, faster?
Would you have suggestions for this desperate mom?!? Thanks5 stars
