I used pork stock and pork belly for extra flavour fatiness. saved a lot of time compared to traditional stove top method.5 stars

Someone said it’s safer to buy from Taiwan. I remember when they were made the traditional way but haven’t had them for a long time because of health concerns.
Thanks.

Hi Regina,

Thank you for your question. Since there is meat involved. It is best to store it in the fridge and reheats it in the morning.

Take care & have fun cooking
Jacky

I found a small piece of pork shoulder (about 10oz) and used it for the congee. And used only 2 century eggs since that was all I have. It is so good. Just like how I remember it.5 stars

Not bad for my first try, and so much easier with a pressure cooker than keeping an eye on the stovetop like my mom does!
I used ground pork and bones from a rotisserie chicken instead of pork shank and pork bones, it was delicious. Will definitely be making this more for weekend breakfasts. Next time I’ll have to try the shumai recipe too for the full home dim sum experience😁5 stars
