This (as with all your recipes I have tried, is fantastic. Not sure how i did without this appliance before, but even more so, with your instructions now.

I just made this without the beef and used vegetable broth…so vegan…and it turned out great. I used heaping measurements of the paprika (smoked) and 1.5 tspns of sea salt. I also added (to each bowl of soup ladled out) some non-meat spicy sausage. This reminded me of a thinner version of the goulash soup I had any chance I could, in Europe – the years I was stationed there.

Thanks for the work and expertise you both are sharing here. I look forward to trying your other recipes.

As the fall air settles in, I started thinking about making borscht…but wanted to try it in an IP this year, so thanks for this recipe!

This is very close to the borscht my Mennonite family makes ..we also add one or two tsp of dried summer savory.

Oooooh, while this soup sounds great, as someone of Slavic descent, any chance you would be willing to create recipes for Slavic beet Borcht? Or Polish Bigos (Hunters Stew)?

This recipe was super. Didn’t have beef broth or chicken broth so I used a tonkotsu soup base. I did the flavor enhancing method and then had to travel so I froze it. I let it thaw overnight and had it for lunch. It was SO good – the beef shank was tender, the soup rich and filling and delicious.

I remember someone asking about HK style borscht. Just made some in my Instant Pot using Amy & Jacky’s recipe so I thought I’d share a pic. No beef shank in my local grocery store so I used Chuck roast and cooked at High Pressure for 35 minutes. So yummy 😋. Pro tip: make sure you add fish sauce at the end for some umami🤩
